Artists Joel Cana

Joel Cana has been hammering his mother’s kitchen units with wooden spoons since he was just 5 years old.

Coming from a Gospel background, Joel developed his passion for music through the Christian music scene joining his local church band at just aged 10.

He is no stranger to the music scene in the "city of steel" where he forged his sound, absorbing the musical heritage that has seen Sheffield produce legendary acts like Def Lepperd, Pulp, the Human League and Arctic Monkeys.

His career took off when he and three other local lads combined forces to write music as The Gentlemen: The band have since wowed audiences across Europe with their high-octane live shows and kitsch style.

In March of 2014 Joel and his fellow Gentlemen landed a support slot with The Feeling, playing 11 UK dates with the BRIT-nominated band. Their third studio album has attracted the attention of the BBC's Janice Long and Dermot O'Leary, the latter inviting the band to play live on his Radio 2 programme.
