Liam Power - August 80

Liam Power is the powerhouse drummer behind August 80, whose expansive rock music can call him to drive the emotive songs with forceful grooves, or step to the forefront and use drums and percussion as the music’s focal point. This requirement of both power and versatility led him to choose Saturn Series drums.
As a tutor, Liam works from Rockem Music in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, which runs one of the country’s top stores, as well as a thriving tuition department, working with students of all ages, of varying ability, right up to the professional, in all styles.
As well as being with August 80, Liam has toured alongside bands such as The Damned and The Buzzcocks, and played alongside former members of AC/DC.
Liam’s current set up comprises a customised Saturn kit in Galaxy Burst, with Mapex and Janus hardware, as well as Paiste cymbals.
