Mike Hoddinott
Mike began his career whilst still at school, and by the age of seventeen had signed as house drummer to Circus Records in Bristol, recording many albums and singles for visiting artistes at the studio.
Having the ability to play many varied styles of music at an early age helped Mike to find work as a live performer with a variety of bands, from progressive rock to jazz.
Through the 1990’s, Mike gained a good reputation as a drummer with many respected British , European and American jazz and blues artists as well as touring Europe and the USA with award winning acts such as “The Innes Sibum Blues Explosion” and “The Eddie Martin Blues Band”, being nominated for Best Blues Drummer awards several times .
Currently, Mike is working professionally as a part time lecturer and teacher of drums whilst still in huge demand as a performer with many acts, including the best party band in the world, Doreen Doreen, jazz fusioneers Code Red, The GBH Big Band, Sutura and the well respected, Mike Hoddinott Blues Allstars.
Mike currently uses a Mapex Saturn series kit in the stunning Laser Ivory finish.
