Artists Tim Goodyer
Tim Goodyer is a freelance drummer in London, having twenty years experience working as a drummer and percussionist in the theatres of the West End in London.
Currently the drummer for the Dreamworks production of Shrek the Musical, he has just finished a four-year run of the record-breaking show Dirty Dancing. His other shows in the West End have included Saturday Night Fever, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ragtime, Romeo and Juliet, Joseph and he was the original drummer for the London production of the award winning Avenue Q.
He has also played in “Mamma Mia", “Grease”, “The Lion King”, "Beautiful Game", “Kiss Me Kate”, “Fame”, “Footloose”, “Anything Goes”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “We Will Rock You”, “Rat Pack”, “Smokey Joe’s Café”, and played drums for dance rehearsals for the stars of the Rob Marshall movie Nine – Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Daniel Day Lewis and Penelope Cruz.
He has also performed and/or recorded for:
London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Jazz Orchestra, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Amy Pearson (Sony), Rick Astley, Michael Ball, Leslie Bricusse, Elaine Paige, Russell Watson, Cameron Mackintosh, Sarah Brightman, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Belinda Carlisle, Maria Freedman, and many freelance sessions and TV shows including Britain’s Got Talent, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria (house band), Top of the Pops, National Lottery and loads of daytime TV! He also wrote the IMP best-selling drum book In Session with Korn!
He is also a member of the jazz percussion ensemble All Bluff and Porterage. They perform concerts, workshops and masterclasses for music colleges and percussion days worldwide, including: Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Wells Cathedral School, UK Percussive Arts Society (PAS) day at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the band were invited by the renowned drummer and educator Steve Houghton to play at PASIC 2010 Indianapolis, USA.
