Therapy? - Neil Cooper's in studio report!
Hope everyone at Mapex world had a great xmas.
We've had a pretty busy end of 2005/ start of 2006.
We began writing songs for the new album back
in Sept. By mid Nov we had 19 finished songs to
choose from. So we decided to finish the year off
locked away in a farmhouse/make shift studio in
the middle of nowhere, just the three of us demoing
the new tunes. By Jan we'd decided on the twelve
we've recorded for the album.
Early January saw
us start recording in Jacobs studios in Surrey
with producer Pedro Ferriera (The Darkness,Colour
of Fire). The songs are sounding HUGE. They've
got the usual Therapy? "punch" but with
a really melodic edge. We've gone for a real 'live'
feel with this record so the energy level is right
up there!!
Right now we are literally at the midway
point - we've finished all the recording and now
we're off to start mixing at The Strong Room in
Shoreditch, London. Over the last month we've battled
illness and projectile vomiting (not self induced
I hasten to add!) but all the tunes are sounding
absolutely mega!!
We've not decided on the album
title yet but here's a few song titles for you
to chew on - "Deluded Son", "Lose
It All",
Our White Noise", "Fear of God", "Unconsoled", "Sprung", "One
Cure Fits All", "Private Nobody", "Rain
Hits Concrete", "Walk Through Darkness" and "Into
The Light".

on this album:
