News London Drum Show 2011
MAPEX RETURN TO LONDON WITH STYLE
'The London Drum Show is aimed at providing a fully dedicated two-day drum show for the UK drumming public, bringing globally recognised players together with a full and wide ranging exhibition of the very latest drum and percussion instruments, making for an exciting show designed to promote the industry and the art.'
OK, that's the corporate bit for you and too true it is. We are pulling all the stops out this year to make LDS 2011 a show to remember!
We are taking along all the latest kit configurations in Horizon, Meridian and Saturn so you can see exactly why we are so excited about the Mapex line up this year. Rarely are our more 'experimental' sets seen under one roof at any one time, so this is a great opportunity see these sets in the flesh and find out if your missing out on a kit that may transform your playing.
We will also have all 14 of the new Black panthers, the Falcon and Raptor direct drive pedals and the limited edition exotic Saturn Birch-Walnut hybrid kit, everything will be here ready for the closest scrutiny!
So, we have all the drums you could wish for, we are also working with two of our all time favorite artists on the live stage. Flying from LA to the UK specifically for the London Drum Show is the incredible talent of Gregg Bissonette, make sure you get along to catch him on Saturday 15th on the main stage. We have worked with Gregg alot of the years and we look forward to every visit. He is one of the most versatile players who, with so much charisma blows away audience after audience as he showcases the skills he has developed and perfected over the years, touring and recording with the likes of Santana, Spinal Tap, Dave Lee Roth, ELO and hundreds more!
Jonathan 'Ginger' Hamilton is a drummer who we are massively proud to work with. Possibly one of the hardest working up coming UK drummers, Jonathan at the tender age of 21 has already toured with VV Brown, Boy George, N Bubz and now holds the chair for UK pop starlet Jessie J.
We love Jon's playing, every time we see him he manages to pull out bigger and better grooves and fills, couple this with being a super nice guy then you begin to understand why he is one of the most in-demand session drummers in the contemporary music scene.
Jon performs on the main stage on Sunday 16th, take it from us, this is not one to be missed!
So, that's that, all you need to do is visit www.londondrumshow.com, grab your ticket and remember to turn up, the rest is ready and waiting.
